PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device for a sewing machine by which setting data is smoothly and surely changed and a production cost is reduced. SOLUTION: The display device is provided with a setting data display control means which permits a setting data display part 17 to display setting data M and an association mark K corresponding to the setting data M by changing- over them by time division based on setting information in a setting information storage means when setting data M is set. An operator understands the contents of a setting item by the association mark K and, then, changes setting data M in a setting mode.
