PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an angling hook for a squid capable of surely angling the squid having a bite at a live bait and improving fishing results even by both a beginner and an experienced person. SOLUTION: This angling hook A for the squid comprises hook bodies 5 for angling the squid at the tip on the front side, a rodlike body 1 having a sinker 4 arranged at the tip on the rear side, a horizontal part 23 and two vertical parts 21 and 22. The fishhook A is further composed of an F-shaped vertical standing member 2 having line hooking parts 25 and 26 at the tips of the vertical parts 21 and 22 and a stopper 6 having a line hook 61 at one end and a folded back hook part 62 at the other end. The tip of the horizontal part 23 of the F-shaped vertical standing member 2 is mounted with a bending mechanism 3 provided near the almost middle part in the long axial direction of the rodlike body 1 so as to vary the angle and the rodlike body 1 is thereby made to freely rise and fall. The shaft 63 of the stopper 6 is passed through a guide 27 installed in the vertical part 21 of the F-shaped vertical standing member 2 and a pipelike guide 24 provided in the horizontal part 23. The hook part 62 at the tip of the stopper 6 can be engaged with an engaging member 11 installed near the sinker 4 of the rodlike body 1.
