PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing machine program preparing device which easily and surely prepare sewing programs is adopted as a common device for a plurality of electronic sewing machines and stores the sewing programs in order to easily generate and set them. SOLUTION: The device is provided with a back-up RAM 113 for storing a plurality of sewing programs where the whole or a part of parameters are differed. A controller 109 performs change parameter detection control for detecting the changed parameter when the parameter is changed and set concerning the sewing program which is read from the back-up RAM 113, etc., and also performs change parameter display control for permitting a display means to contrast and display the change parameter which is detected by the change parameter detection control and the parameter before change corresponding to the changed parameter.
