PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine in which the occurrence of noise and a vibration is more suppressed by highly accurately controlling the torque of a motor. SOLUTION: Shunt resistances 39u and 39v arranged at the side of an emitters in IGBT 38d and 38f at the side of an arm which constitutes an inverter circuit 37 detect currents which are permitted to flow in the motor 24 for generating a rotary driving force to perform washing, rinsing and spin-drying operations in an automatic washing machine. The motor 24 is vector-controlled by a control cycle of 1 millisecond through the use of a DSP 45 based on the detected currents Iu and Iv so that a generation torque is controlled to conduct the optimum rinsing and drying operations respectively. |
