<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary retainer for a crown prosthetic appliance using a shape memory alloy with which building of a holding hole and pinhole is easy and sure, the parallelisms of the pinhole to a tooth axis can be assured and holding power can be sufficiently expected by using a retaining pin which is made of the shape memory alloy and is removable. SOLUTION: This auxiliary retainer for the crown prosthetic appliance has a pier 3 having a lower structure 7 joined by casting to the inside surface of a metallic core 6, is provided with the pinhole 8 and the holding hole 9 in the lower structure 7 and has a retaining pin 13 which is projected to the inside surface of the crown 4 and is inserted and firmly stuck to the pinhole 8. The retaining pin 13 is integrated by joining a rod body a which is made of the shape memory alloy deformable by a temperature change and has a variable slit (c) into a cylindrical body (b) not deformable by the temperature change so as to inscribe the cylindrical body and making external threads around the outside surface of the cylindrical body (b). The pin is used by screwing the same as the removable retaining pin 13 to an upper structure joined by casting to the crown 4.</p> |
