PURPOSE: A simple portable umbrella is provided to make the carrying-on and storage of the umbrella easy and simple by making the structure of the portable umbrella more simplified and the weight thereof lighter, and to reduce the production cost by the simplified structure thereof. CONSTITUTION: The simple portable umbrella includes a canopy(10), a stiffening plate(20), and a fixing plate(40), etc. The canopy is formed by unfolding continuously-overlapped rectangular-shaped waterproof cloth as a cone shape. The stiffening plate and the fixing plate, attached to one lateral side of the canopy, support the lateral side of the canopy and fix the canopy with unfolded. The stiffening plate and the fixing plate are made of resin material such as plastic, etc. to reduce the production cost and make it possible to weigh light. A boss(11) is formed on one leading end of the stiffening plate, and a umbrella stand(30) is rotatably coupled with the stiffening plate by inserting the boss into a through hole of the umbrella stand and fusing the leading end. The canopy is formed by lowering the upper leading end of each pleat(1) downward, and integrally adhering each contact surface thereof.
