PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode for use in a crusher, which electrode can realize noise reduction. SOLUTION: The electrode 1 for use in a crusher is provided with an electrode part 3 for generating a discharge and a soundproof member 19 which surrounds the electrode part 3. Thus, when the crushing objective 11 is crushed by generating a discharge by means of the electrode part 3, the region in which the discharge is generated is isolated from the space surrounding the electrode 1 by means of the member 10. As the result, by using a material capable of sufficiently isolating sounds as the material for the member 10, the leak of noises caused by discharge into the space surrounding the region in which a discharge is generated can be reduced.
