PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adsorbent which is high in removal performance of lower aliphatic aldehyde and, moreover, is little in secular deterioration of the removal performance of lower aliphatic aldehyde. SOLUTION: In this adsorbent and producing method thereof, porous bodies are impregnated with aminobenzene sulfonic acid and at least one side of solubilizing agent or hydrotrope agent.
