PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the bruise generation of fruits and vegetables due to dropping, falling, and striking during classification of the fruits and vegetables into classes. SOLUTION: In a mini-belt conveyor, each fruit vegetable receiving body holds fruits and vegetables on a carrying belt, and the carrying belt moves in the transverse direction perpendicular to the traveling direction of the fruit vegetable receiving body to feed the fruits and the vegetables to fruit vegetable take-in bodies disposed beside a carrying line. Each fruit vegetable take-in body for taking in the fruits and the vegetables discharged from the fruit vegetable receiving body is set so that the level of its upper surface is equal to or slightly lower than the level of the upper surface of the carrying belt for the fruit vegetable receiving body, and is disposed adjacent to the end of the fruit vegetable discharge side of the mini-belt conveyor. Prescribed fruits and vegetables are fed to the fruit vegetable take-in body by driving the mini-belt conveyor based on a discrimination signal.
