PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hollow fiber membrane type module which is capable of drastically reducing the possibility of a failure of hollow fiber membranes and is further improved. SOLUTION: This hollow fiber membrane type module 1 has a cylindrical casing 2 which is fixed at both ends by a resin composition and in which a hollow fiber membrane bundle 4 having resin layer sections 9 is housed, an inlet 11 and output 12 for a cleaning treatment liquid which are formed on the outer peripheral surfaces near both ends of the cylindrical casing, and a tongue-shaped inlet side baffle 30 and outlet side baffle 40 which are disposed in the positions corresponding to the cleaning treatment liquid input 11 and cleaning treatment liquid outlet 12. Spacings are disposed between the front end of the inlet side baffle 30 and the front end of the outlet side baffle 40 and the rear surfaces of the corresponding to resin layer sections 9. The spacing X between the front end of the side baffle and the rear surface of the resin layer section 9 is set at 0 mm<X<5 mm, more preferably 0 mm<X<=2 mm.
