APPARATUS FOR HOLDING SLAB ON PILING ROLLER TABLE

PURPOSE: An apparatus for holding slab on piling roller table is provided to prevent the slab from breaking away from the central position on the piling roller table due to slab bending or roll bending in case that slab is piled on the piling roller table before charging the slab into a hot rolling heating furnace, and then centering is completed. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for holding slab on piling roller table comprises a slab lifting part(50) comprising a plurality of slab guide rolls(53) and a driving cylinder(80) which is ascended and descended at the lower side of the piling roller table, wherein the slab guide rolls(53) are arranged in a direction perpendicular to rollers of the piling roller table so that the slab guide rolls(53) are ascended and descended by the driving cylinder(80); and a slab position detecting part comprising a scanning roll which is mounted on the central front side of a pusher(212) and moved back by being contacted with a slab(200) during advancing of the pusher(212), and a sensor which detects position of the slab(200) according to operation of the scanning roll so that the slab lifting part(50) returns to the original state, wherein the slab(200) on the piling roller table is held to a right position by ascending the guide rolls(53) so that the guide rolls(53) are reciprocally acted with the rollers.
