POROUS METAL IMPLANT AND MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for an implant whose base material is metal light and superior in mechanical property and whose surface is coated with a thin film having bioaffinity on the surface thereof and made of ceramics. SOLUTION: The base material uses a porous metal body 1 light and superior in mechanical property, which is manufactured while the shapes of pores are controlled. The bioaffinity thin film 2 uses hydroxyapatite or the like. A thin film coating is applied to the surface of the porous body 1 by a laser ablation method or the like, whereby the problem of the ceramic thick film can be solved.
