摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high resolution structure of an adenosine monophosphate(AMP) deaminase protein by X-ray analysis and elucidate the actuality of enzymic actions from the analytical image thereof. SOLUTION: A 2.2 Å crystal structure of rabbit AMP deaminase which is an integral enzyme of purine nucleotide interconversion is determined in an unbound state and a state of an inhibitor bound. The use of X-ray crystallographic data for identification and construction of possible therapeutic compounds in the treatment of various disease symptoms is further disclosed. The sequence of rabbit AMP deaminase is also disclosed.
