PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing machine for confirming information concerning a pattern with a loop with respect to the sewing machine which performs sewing by penetrating an object to be sewed with a thread. SOLUTION: In the sewing machine, an embroidery frame is vertically inversely attached to the machine at each cloth when the kind of stitches is changed from the stitches along a face into the stitches with a loop projecting from the face. Then the two kinds of stitches are obtained through the use of a single hollow needle. An LCD 31 a correctly informs a user of the setting of the kinds of the stitches, a pattern situation (display which coincides with the upper surface of a cloth) and a work indication (an effect that the cloth is inversed).
