PURPOSE: A position tracing device for a remote controller is provided to easily trace the position of each remote controller using one tracing device and detect the remote controller. CONSTITUTION: A tracing device(20) has a key button(21) for selectively inputting a numerical signal, a storing signal, and a calculator/remote controller selection signal, a microcomputer(22) for performing a storing operation, a remote controller selection operation or a calculation operation of the calculator according to the signal inputted from the key button(21), and a display unit(23) for receiving a display signal from the microcomputer(22) and displaying the display signal. The tracing device(20) has a memory(24) for storing the signal inputted from the key button(21), or changing and deleting the stored signal by a control signal of the microcomputer(22), and a wireless data transmitting unit(25) for transmitting the signal outputted from the microcomputer(22) as wireless data. A chip pad(30) has a discriminating unit(31) for receiving an intrinsic number data signal transmitted from the tracing device(20) and discriminating the received intrinsic number data signal, a melody IC(32) for generating a certain melody signal when the discriminating unit(31) discriminates the intrinsic number data signal as intrinsic number data, and a speaker(32) for amplifying the melody signal generated in the melody IC(32) and outputting the amplified melody signal.
