PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric water heater preventing the grounding effect from being reduced in what way its ground lead is handled. SOLUTION: A ground lead 8 provided in a container 6 is connected to a magnetically attractable plate 3 provided in a peg frame 2 on the side surface of a body 1 and a ground lead 19 is connected to a magnet type plug 17 for an earth-and-feeder combination cord 18 without using a screw, which magnet type plug 17 is integrally formed with the ground lead 18 and is inserted into the peg frame 2.
