PURPOSE: A wind direction control device for a room air conditioner is provided to simply detach a wind direction control plate for removing impurities or dust from blowing paths of the air conditioner. CONSTITUTION: A wind direction control device for a room air conditioner includes a concave and convex part formed outside a supporting hole of a top surface of a drain plate(21), a plurality of key grooves formed in rim parts of the supporting holes, a guide key(34) fitted into the key grooves for rotating a wind direction control plate(31) so that the wind direction control plate is fixed to the drain plate and guided to rotate, a plurality of supporting parts integrally formed into a rotation shaft head(32) of the wind direction control plate by a plurality of slits formed by a predetermined interval to elastically contact the concave and convex part, and a plurality of contact protrusions(37) formed at a lower surface of a front end of the supporting part for point-contacting the concave and convex part.
