PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CCTV(closed-circuit TV) system, in which the degree of the range of the visual field displayed on a monitor can easily be recognized even when the imaged range of the visual field is changed by changing the zoom ratio information of the zoom lens of a camera, or the size of height and width of a particular object can be recognized easily by obtaining a zoomed up video image of the particular object so as to be displayed on the entire screen of a monitor. SOLUTION: Information about the height and width of the range of the visual field captured by a video image is superimposed on the video image displayed on the monitor, and the superimposed information is displayed. The information on the height and width of the range of the visual field caught by the video image is calculated, on the basis of the zoom ratio information of the zoom lens, distance information from the zoom lens up to the prescribed range of the visual field, and size information of the prescribed range of the visual field.
