METHOD FOR PRODUCING ALLYL ETHER DERIVATIVE OR PRECURSOR AND ALLYL ETHER DERIVATIVE PRODUCED BY THE METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an allyl ether derivative usable for various materials such as resist materials and low-shrinkage materials, and provide a method for easily producing the derivative and a precursor of the derivative. SOLUTION: The allyl ether derivative is expressed by general formula 4 (R<2> is a 5-20C alicyclic hydrocarbon group; R<3> is methyl or ethyl; and R<4> is a 4-12C residue for forming a 5-13C alicyclic hydrocarbon group containing a quaternary carbon atom bonded with hydroxy group). The production process for the allyl ether derivative comprises the reaction of anα-(alkyloxy) methylacrylic acid halide with an alcohol. As a concrete example,α-(isobornyloxy)methylacrylic acid (1-methylcyclohexyl) ester is produced fromα-(isobornyloxy)methylacrylic acid chloride and 1-methylcyclohexanol.
