PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive recyclable elastic fiber having a moderate elasticity and stress without emitting toxic gases during combustion and without requiring complicated production processes. SOLUTION: This elastic fiber is composed of a composition comprising 20-80 wt.% of a thermoplastic elastomer resin and 80-20 wt.% of an olefinic copolymer resin. The stress at 100% elongation of the elastic fiber is 0.3-1.0 N/1,000 dtex.
