SYSTEM FOR SUPERVISING OPERATION OF PLANT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sustain operation of a plant even upon occurrence of an abnormality in an operation supervisory center when operation of the plant is supervised at the operation supervisory center connected with the plant through a communication line. SOLUTION: A plurality of operation supervisory centers 1 are connected with the communication line 3 of a ring-like network and the communication line 3 is connected with the plant controller 2 of a plant being supervised at the operation supervisory center 1. The plant controller 2 is set to receive control information being outputted from a predetermined operation supervisory center 1. When the operation supervisory center 1 cannot sustain operational supervision due to occurrence of an abnormality, that operation supervisory center 1 notifies the plant controller 2 to this effect and the plant controller 2 alters the setting such that control information being outputted from a predetermined alternative operation supervisory center 1 among the plurality of operation supervisory centers 1 is received.
