<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damper for a piano which enables a player to easily carry out a half pedal rendition. SOLUTION: The damper 1 for the piano is freely rotationally movably mounted with a damper wire 9 nearer the left side than its centroid G. If the player successively steps on a loud pedal with the grand piano for which such damper 1 is used, the damper wire 9 ascends from the state (c) that damper felts 5a and 5b contact a string 15 and the damper 1 rises successively from its left side (d). In due course of time, only the damper felt 5a completely parts from the string 15 (e) until finally the entire part of the damper 1 parts from the string 15 (f). If the damper 1 parts from the string 15 while inclining, (c) to (e) can be used as a half pedal region. Accordingly, the player is able to easily carry out half pedal rendition.</p> |
