PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accomplish a targeted graft ratio in a short time even with a small quantity of a polymerizing substance and without removing a polymerization inhibitor. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method of a solid polymer electrolyte membrane for a fuel cell is characterized by comprising an irradiation process for irradiating a radiation to a film-like polymer base material, a graft polymerization process for bringing the polymer base material into contact with the gaseous polymerizing substance having a vinyl group to form a side chain of a graft polymerization chain, and a sulfonic acid group introducing process for introducing a sulfonic acid group into the side chain. |
