PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an NaCo based oxide sintered compact which has a low content of impurities, and to provide a production method therefor. SOLUTION: The NaCo based oxide sintered compact is obtained by mixing Na based oxide powder and Co based oxide powder as raw material powder, and subjecting the powdery mixture to calcining treatment and sintering treatment. In this case, calcined powder 12 obtained by subjecting the powdery mixture 11 to the calcining treatment, and having a crystal composition of NaRCo2 Oy (R is more than 1.3, and y=4 (at ordinary temperature)) is subjected to the sintering treatment. |
