<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce abrasion of a pin (a dot wire) without disturbing the use of various kinds of colorants, especially carbon black in an ink for a dot impact printer and without requiring addition of a lubricant. SOLUTION: This liquid ink is impregnated in a base fabric of a fabric ink ribbon for the dot impact printer. The ink is characterized as follows. A nigrosine base dye and an inorganic or an organic pigment are contained as the colorant in a vehicle and the nigrosine base dye is subjected to a chloride ion removing treatment with an alkali. Fatty acids account for <=10% ratio of the vehicle.</p> |
