<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constantly and efficiently cool a circumferential area of a magnet coil of a control force application means by the cooling liquid to stabilize the valve timing control. SOLUTION: A driving plate 3 rotated and driven by a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine, and a lever shaft 10 connected to a camshaft 1 are connected by an assembling angle control mechanism 5, and the assembling angle control mechanism 5 is driven and operated by the control force application means 4. The control force application means 4 has magnet coils 33A, 33B surrounded by a yoke 41 made out of a magnetic material, and the driving force is generated by magnetically exciting the magnetic coils 33A, 33B. In the valve timing control device, a holding block 42 made out of a non-magnetic material is formed to hold the circumferential area of the yoke 41, and a cooling liquid passage 48 is formed on the holding block 42. As the magnet coils 33A, 33B are made out of the non-magnetic material, the abrasive powder of a magnetic member is not attached to the cooling liquid passage 48.</p> |
