PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspecting device for an end surface of an optical connector capable of automatically determining the existence of scar in a plurality of optical connectors and thus realizing significant increase of inspection efficiency without dispersion in the inspection. SOLUTION: This inspecting device comprises a cassette 34 for holding the plurality of optical connectors to be inspected, an X-axis stage 27, a Y-axis stage 30, and a Z-axis stage 24 for driving the cassette 34 in the X, Y, and Z directions, an optical microscope 47 that is disposed facing to the end surfaces of the optical connectors held in the cassette 34 and observes a situation of the end surfaces of the optical connectors, and a determining means that takes and processes images of the optical microscope 47 and determines the scar in the end surfaces of the optical connectors.
