PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further improve operability, low noise and durability easily at a low cost by restraining fluctuations in pitches between rolling bodies caused by a influence of swelling due to oil such as lubricant even using an elastomer material as a raw material of a retaining piece. SOLUTION: In a linear guide device provided with the retaining piece 100 formed out of the elastomer material between respective steel balls adjacent to each other in the circulating direction, a recessed surface 101 in the retaining piece 100 is brought into contact with the steel ball B at a position of less than 50% of the diameter of the steel ball B adjacent to the retaining piece 100, and the rigidity value of the retaining piece 100 is set 0.053 N/μm-0.175 N/μm.
