PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems of the compilation of the entire source file being required, whenever a symbol information data base is updated and a long time is required for reconfiguration by the conventional method. SOLUTION: A compiler 20 selects the symbol information data base 30 by a data base selecting part 203, by transferring a processing to a partial compilation control part 202, when a partial compilation judging part 201 determines as being partial compilation and registers symbol information and compilation range information in the data base 30 by a partial symbol information registeration part 204. An editor 10 extracts range information from the symbol information and displays the compiled part on a compiled part display part 106. In addition, when updating of the data base 30 becomes necessary in the case of editing the source file by a symbol information dynamic control part 103, the data base is reconfigured dynamically, by deleting invalidated symbol information using a symbol information dynamic deletion part 104 and updating line number information by a line number dynamic updating part 105.
