PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of jam in carrying a recording medium to be discharged by detecting if a carrying passage is ready for the recording medium after recording to be discharged out of a printer. SOLUTION: A state of a discharge port covered with a cover member is detected, and when it is possible for the recording medium to be carried to be discharged, image recording to the recording medium is executed. When a state of the cover member prohibiting carrying the recording medium to be discharged is eliminated after stop of execution of recording notified to an operator, execution of recording is restarted. |
