PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an unlocking device for a shutter attached to the bottom strut of the shutter that is constituted so that a person may unlock, open, and close the shutter in a comfortable posture. SOLUTION: The shutter is constituted in a state where a shutter panel 2 formed by connecting many struts 1 in the vertical direction is held between left and right guide rails 5 and taken up around a drum 4 provided on the top of the panel 2. This shutter unlocking device 8 unlocks the shutter by removing a locking body 7 attached to the inside of the bottom strut 6 from locking sections 5a provided in the guide rails 5 when an unlocking body 10 provided on the inside of an intermediate strut is operated. The unlocking body 10 is connected to the locking body 7 through a connecting body 9 composed of a flexible rope. The flexible rope is maintained in a prescribed stretched state by passing the rope through a guide tool 11 fixed to a strut at the same or lower level of the unlocking body 10. In addition, a handhold section 10d which is used at the time of moving the shutter panel 2 upward and downward is provided in connection with the unlocking body 10.
