Exercise wheel comprises a housing (1) having two sides, two handle bars (6) on the two sides of the housing, a chassis (7) held in the housing, a main shaft (4) supported by the chassis, a main toothed wheel (3) arranged around the main shaft, two wheel units (2) attached to the chassis so that they rotate and containing a shaft (22) with a toothed section (23) for gripping the main toothed wheel, and two torsion springs (5) attached around the main shaft on the two sides of the main toothed wheel. Each torsion spring has a first end rigidly fixed to the housing and a second end rigidly fixed to the main toothed wheel. The main toothed wheel contains a peripheral stop (34) surrounding at least one of the torsion springs to prevent outward radial extension of the torsion spring resulting from movement of the wheel units in the reverse direction.
