PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image read/recording device, in which even when the device takes countermeasures to prevent an operator from touching with a bottom part of an original read section in mistake to cause no cost increase nor the large-sized device so that an original sensing means can keep excellent sensing accuracy. SOLUTION: An original width sensing unit 512 is placed in a corner, comprising a rail 516b with high strength and a reinforced shape 516d of a planer section 516g, so that movements X1, Y1 of a sensing position due to deformation are decreased. An original length sensing unit 512d is placed nearly in the middle of the reinforced shape 516d of the planar section 516g and a sidewall part 516f. Through the provision of the unit at this position, the movement amount X2 of the sensing position is comparatively large, but the movement amount Y2 is small, when the planer section 516g is deformed. |
