METHOD FOR FORMING SEAL ASSEMBLY AROUND SHAFT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a seal assembly around a shaft. SOLUTION: This method for forming the seal assembly around the shaft includes; (a) a step for energizing a first seal member to a second seal member so that a load is applied between a first seal surface and a second seal surface; (b) a step for measuring the load applied between the first seal surface and the second seal surface at the energizing step; and (c) a step for fixing a first supporting member on the shaft when a predetermined load value is achieved between the first seal surface and the second seal surface so that a relative position between the first seal member and the second seal member is fixed in such a way that the predetermined load value is substantially maintained between the first seal surface and the second seal surface. An associated seal assembly shape is also provided.
