PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of coping with tampering of open contents capable of effectively preventing adverse effects due to a web page being tampered without authorization, and to provide an open contents provision system for realizing the method. SOLUTION: Whether or not a contents file F1 is tampered without authorization is monitored by collating file management data D (a ledger file) with the contents file F1 in a web server 10. When a forgery action is detected, control for stopping activation of a router 20 is conducted by using a power controller 30 and the web server 10 is cut off from the Internet 40, so that, the forged contents are stopped immediately, without attracting user's attention so that information reliability and prestige of a contents provider are guaranteed.
