PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seismic-response controlled and aseismatic reinforcing structure for an existing building, which can be constructed without interfering with daily work. SOLUTION: In the seismic-response controlled and aseismatic reinforcing structure 1 for the existing building, a steel frame body 5 is installed in an inside 4 of a frame which is surrounded by a column 2 of a concrete structure and a beam 3 thereof; stud bolts 8, which are protruded from the side of the frame body 5, and cotters 9 for connection, which are protruded from the side of the column 2 and that of the beam 3, are parallel-bank-arranged in a gap part 7 which is formed between the frame body 5, and the column 2 and the beam 3; and the gap part 7 is filled with mortar 11.
