PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To widen measurable distance range, and to facilitate collimation by decreasing the quantity of measuring light shielded by an optical path change means, in a distance and angle measuring instrument which is composed by providing a light- transmitting optical system for transmitting measuring light from a light source to a substance to be measured through a light-transmitting objective lens, a light-receiving optical system for condensing the measuring light, reflected by the substance to be measured into a light-receiving sensor through a light-receiving objective lens, and a collimation telescope which uses the light-receiving objective lens as an objective lens, has the light-transmitting objective lens outside the light-receiving optical system, and has an optical-path changing means which is attached to the light-transmitting optical system, and causes the optical axis of the measuring light transmitted from the light-transmitting objective lens to coincide with that of the light-receiving objective lens. SOLUTION: As a component of the optical path changing means arranged in front of the light-receiving objective lens 3, a triangular prism 11 or a pentagonal prism is used. Also, the triangular prism 11 or pentagonal prism is glued to the rear of a dust-tight glass 10, and so as to distance with separate by provide a fixing member for the prism.
