PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input device and a method for a cooking name in an electronic oven wherein a user sets desired cooking information for the cooking by the electronic oven, and the cooking information set by the user is stored, and thereafter a choice is made with ease of cooking desired by the user. SOLUTION: There are provided a display apparatus 49 for providing a new cooking method set screen and a new cooking name set screen so as to set data concerning new cooking by a user, a cooking method storage apparatus 80 for storing the new cooking method set screen set by a user based on the cooking method set screen of the display apparatus 40, a cooking name storage apparatus 70 for storing the new cooking name set screen set by a user based on the cooking name set screen of the display apparatus 40, and a microcomputer 10 for controlling the display apparatus 40 and data in the storage apparatus to display the foregoing new cooking name and the cooking method at the need of a user.
