Automobile alternator, use key to prevent slip between pulley and alternator shaft

The machine has a drive belt pulley bolted to the end of its shaft and has a key to regulate the slip produced between pulley and shaft (7). A pair of key slots (21a) are formed in both pulley and shaft and the key (21) is inserted in the slots. Independent claims are also included for: other forms of pulley/shaft slip regulation and stator winding details.
