SLIDER NEEDLE FOR LOOP-FORMING TEXTILE MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slider needle which is only a little, or not at all sensitive to lateral loop tension and has reduced slider friction. SOLUTION: A slider slit demarcated between two slit walls mutually installed so as to be parallel to a stem of the slider needle for the loop-forming textile machine has an inlet 15 facing to a hook 3, and is extended from the inlet 15. The width of the slider slit at least at the position near to the inlet 15 is regulated so as to be narrower than the width measured at the same height as a needle back part at the position remote from the inlet 15. Free front ends of two slider springs 11 and 12 forming the slider 8 are bent away from each other so as to form a funnel shape opened to the hook 3 by using one contact position as a starting point. Both the slider springs are also bent away from each other at the reverse sides following the contacting position.
