[Also in Group I] Apparatus for milling and sieving grain &c. comprises a frame 10 having vertical columns 12, 14, 16 and horizontal beams 18, 20, 22, 24, 26. Milling machines 40, 54, 69 and 76 and reciprocable sieves 28, 30, 32 and 34 are supported, in stacked, alternating relationship, by the frame. The sieves are slung, from beams below the milling machines, on hangers 36, 38 pivoted to the sieves and said beams. The sieves are reciprocated by eccentric devices 42 on rotating shafts 84, 86, 88 and 90. Each eccentric device is connected to a sieve by a rod 94 comprising a turnbuckle, by means of which the inclination of the hangers can be adjusted. The upper pivot bearings of the hangers can be moved into desired positions along their supporting beams. The paths of reciprocation of the sieves and, consequentially, the rate of flow of milled grain &c. therein can thus be varied. Sieved fractions are discharged through outlets 82 and 80 of the sieve 34. Intermediate fractions may be discharged, from the other sieves, through outlets 50.
