<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent weaving bar(s) in starting up a loom. SOLUTION: The loom 1, which works in such a way that in its starting up, cloth fell shifting components (16 and 19) are driven to shift the position of a cloth fell 9 to a desired position followed by starting its steady-state operation, has the following mechanism: a plurality of starting-up methods including one comprising slightly moving or reversing to a specified halt angle different from the rotational angle of the present main shaft 22 and subsequently switching over to the steady-state operation are set in a selectable manner, and cloth fell position displacements corresponding to the respective starting-up methods are set; in starting up the loom, one of the plurality of starting-up methods is selected to drive the main shaft 22, and the position of the cloth fell 9 is corrected according to the displacement corresponding to the starting-up method selected above.</p> |
