<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of a seal structure of a bearing device formed with a diametrically contact object surface perpendicular to the axial direction in a bowl-shaped outer ring member of a constant velocity joint and allowing a lip part to contact therewith, wherein the diameter of the bowl-shaped outer ring member is enlarged by a portion for securing the diametrically contact object surface perpendicular to the axial direction in the bowl-shaped outer ring member. SOLUTION: The outside diameter of a part formed with a diametrical surface 38 of the bowl-shaped outer ring member in the constant velocity joint 6 is formed as small as possible, the seal structure 12 is provided with a metal annulus 42 with a contact annulus part 41 in contact with the diametrical surface 38, and an axial lip part 16 is made to contact with the contact annulus part 41 of the metal annulus 42. This constitution can improve its sealing performance compared with the conventional seal structure wherein the sliding surface of the axial lip part 16 is secured and then the lip part is made to contact with a curved surface of the bowl-shaped outer ring member 7 without increasing the weight of the bowl-shaped outer ring member 7.</p> |
