The invention relates to a magnetometer comprising a magnetic core (1) with at least one branch (2, 3), at least one excitation coil (4, 5) and a receiving coil (10) which is sensitive to the ambient fields owing to the excitation field (B). An additional magnetic field is added, which is advantageously perpendicular to the aforementioned fields, in order to eliminate very low frequency noises, without said field being measured.
