PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid bearing device which has moment rigidity and radial rigidity and makes it difficult to increase starting torque and degrade starting and stopping durability. SOLUTION: A shaft 13 fixed with a hub 14 is rotatably inserted into a sleeve 12. Conical fluid bearings C, C for supporting both of radial load and axial load and radial fluid bearings R, R for supporting the radial load are provided between the shaft 13 and the sleeve 12. The pair of conical fluid bearings C, C are back-face arranged.
