PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bottom hinged latch of a double-hung window capable of preventing such a situation that a sliding door is made to suddenly fall inward by giving a sub-lock function with a simple structure. SOLUTION: The bottom hinged latch of the double-hung window is constituted of a case 3, a latch 4 stored in the case 3, projecting a window frame engaging section 4a to the outside of the case and, at the same time, energized and held by a spring 5, a knob section 6 integrally mounted to the case 3 and releasing the engagement with a window frame by moving the latch 4 to the inside of the window against energizing force by sliding operation to the inside of the window and a trigger member 7 interiorly finished in a partially exposed state to the inside of the window of the knob section 6 and giving the sub-lock function, and in a normal time, an inverted T-sub lock piece 7C extended from the trigger member 7 is engaged with the end edge of a rectangular opening 3d of the case 3 to prevent the movement to the inside of the window of the knob section 6, and when an exposed part 7A of the trigger member 7 is pushingly operated, the engagement of the inverted T-sub lock piece 7C is released to allow the movement to the inside of the window of the knob section 6.
