PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alarm device for a construction machine capable of transmitting a signal at night, preventing noise pollution to the surroundings, and issuing an emergency alarm at night. SOLUTION: This alarm device 8 provided in a hydraulic shovel is provided with a changeover relay 10 connected to a hand switch 9 and interlocked with a lighting switch 6 so as to automatically change over output circuits 10a and 10b, a signal lamp 11 connected to the output circuit 10a of the changeover relay 10 and installed in the front end in a lower part of a driver's cab 4, a foot switch 12 installed on a floor of the cab 4, and an alarm hone 13 connected to the output circuit 12b of the foot switch 12 and the output circuit 10b of the changeover relay 10 and installed in the front part of a revolving superstructure 2. This constitution can turn on working lights 5 at night and change over the changeover relay 10 to the output circuit 10a. When the hand switch 9 is operated in this state, a signal light 11 is turned on to emit a red light. When the foot switch 12 is operated in an emergency, the alarm hone 13 issues the alarm sound.
