PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation method capable of stably operating a solid polymer type fuel cell over a long time by suitably keeping the moisture content of a solid polymer electrolyte film. SOLUTION: The fuel cell is operated by adjusting the humidifying amount of a reaction gas to a relatively low level (X1). The fuel cell is operated by adjusting the humidifying amount of the reaction gas to a relatively high level (X2) when the cell voltage is set below a specified value V1. The fuel cell is operated by adjusting it to the low level (X1) when the cell voltage exceeds a specified value V2. |
