PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article storage device for automatic vending machine, with which an article can be surely stored in a proper state and vended by preventing the article from being clogged in an article storage passage. SOLUTION: In the article storage device 1 for automatic vending machine, articles S are put into an article storage passage 2 from above in a fallen state and stored while being vertically piled up are discharged successively from the lowest-order article S by the vending operation of an article discharge device 3 under the article storage passage 2, on the article storage passage 2 just above the article discharge device 3, attitude control members 21 and 22 composed of leaf springs are arranged for controlling the fallen state of the article S by being protruded inside the article storage pass 2 and abutting to the article S put in from above.
