PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal detecting circuit capable of covering a wide input frequency range. SOLUTION: A circuit for detecting whether a 50 MHz intermittent clock waveform signal has been received includes an offset receiver 20, a charge pump 21, a capacitor 22, and a hysteresis comparator 23. A circuit for detecting whether a 500 MHz random data waveform signal has been received includes an offset-less receiver 10, a transition counter 30, a delay circuit 31, and an AND circuit 32. An OR circuit 24 outputs a signal indicating the OR operation result of the respective outputs of the hysteresis comparator 23 and the AND circuit 32 as a signal detection signal SD.
